This evening I went to a restaurant with my parents and son for dinner. Gavin is only 18 months old and sits in a highchair. The table that we were seated at was at least 3 feet taller than the highchair he was sitting in. Anyone who has a toddler can attest that mealtime is messy and hard especially when you are eating out. Since he could not reach the booth, we decided to put him in a booster seat-ha! Booster seats do not have straps or anything to keep your child in, so this proved to be quite funny as he swept across the table. Okay, funny now - not so much then. He was literally trying to climb over the table, over the back of the table, etc.
So my question to you is, do men design restaurants- without a thought to children? This was a family restaurant by the way and even if we could have used the high chair there was no room in the aisle for people to walk through. Just a thought, no offense to men by any means but just interesting none the less. A mom would have laid out a better plan I think, because we have all been there. Just like the tiny aisles in stores at the mall vs. your stoller, lol.
